most likely a marketing thing. this isnt to save time, they are still gonna show FH2 at E3, show gameplay and show the release date. this announcement literally saves no time, because they are gonna show it again all at E3. however, this way, they give Forza Horizon 2 a time in the limelight, people focus on it, talk about it and know its coming, they get more hyped for it for E3. Halo, CoD and other big games and announcements from MS are most likely to over shadow FH2. this way, they get people to focus on it for a bit, and for it to make headlines.
