You should probably read Apple's WWDC info from today.  It looks like they are on the same path...

god, fuck,.. please no.  what quinton said above me is the truth.  getting a window's 8 laptop was the most disappointing thing i could have done.  i didn't get a laptop because i wanted to have a shallow experience like when i'm on my tablet.  i got a laptop because i wanted a more feature rich interface then a tablet can provide.  that computer feels so nerfed and frustrating to use.
