It is not overrated, it was the perfect game, it was perfect in each one of its aspects namely graphics, gameplay, music, even depth and lenght when it came out, it's just the same as TLOZ a link to the past, TLOZ Ocarina of time, GTA San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, Halo 3... it's one of those games where devs reach the point of ''I really have no idea how to make this game even better'', where you max out the resources you have (include things like money and imagination) and you just can't do more even if you try, because you already did it all, you can't add anything else not because is not possible but because you reached the limit and no matter what you do it just won't get better than that, you are exhausted and have reached a dead end, you've reached (a certain definition of) perfection, now you can go home.
IMO SOTN is right where it deserves to be as one of the best games ever.
