You don't need to put word in my mouth to prove a ''point'' i never said i need the masses to justify my purchase, if i did i would love Call of Duty and have an iPhone. But the mass appeal is something these companies are trying to achieven, no matter how little value a niche group gives it or not.

You did say that when you mentioned how important the feedback of game sites, sales data, and your friends' opinions were to you. I'm not putting words in your mouth. 

I never said they were important to me.  I was letting you know that the observation is not merely an anecdotal one.
