I find it odd that you'd say it's NOT so much about the social aspect, because that's precisely why I buy Nintendo consoles first and the other ones later; nobody does social like Nintendo. And by social, I mean local multiplayer; actually gaming in the same room as friends. I've already got at least about seven excellent games for that on the console.
Anyway, I agree with OP; with the range of quality software on the Wii U now, it's easily ahead of the others for me. The best offerings on PS4/XO at the moment seem to be things like Watch_Dogs (which got lukewarm reviews and is coming to Wii U this year anyway), or things like Titanfall or FIFA that cater well to brogamers but not so much to a broader audience.
