I myself had a Surface Pro 1 and now have a Surface Pro 2. Excellent devices!! I replaced both my laptop and desktop at work. I still have a 23 inch monitor and Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and a Microsoft Dock for it. I come into work and slip the Surface into the dock and go. When I leave my office, I snap on the keyboard and bang it's all mobile. I am interested in trying out the Surface Pro 3 to see if the size matters or not, but the power of the Pro 2 has been just fine so far.
With the i7 version of the SP3, I wonder if power will be a problem at all. The only thing will be the video card. Even that on the i7 model will probably work for most pc games on a 12 inch screen. On my 10 inch SP2, I play many games without a hitch.
