Was anyone calling MS out in the first yer of it being on the market? Cause I sure as hell remember that for a year or two into the PS3s life the biggest argumnet was that the PS3 has no gamez!! As it seems to be again now with the PS4. And you say a core fans expect a certain number of AAA games right? But yet its not the core playstation fans here that are complaining.
And you keep talking about calling MS out in the last few years, MS deserved to be called out in the last few years, in the past 3 years they have had only 6/7 AAA releases. Compare that to sony's last 3 years. The early adoptpters (the ppl that buy in the first year) should know that the launch year is always slow, so it would be silly to be expecting 2nd, 3rd or 4th year portfolio performance in year one.
The games will come for the PS4, any fan of sony knows that, never has there been a playstation generation wheer they have not delivered on software and new IPs. In the whole of last generation MS introduced one new major IP. Gears of war, sony brought in over 10 completely new IPs. I know thats not what the argument is about here, but I am using that to say to you that this argument is simply toooo premature. Lets come back in 18 months and have this conversation again.
