Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess. But no one needs to be called out on anything. Especially not Sony. And when you talk like this it goes to show that there is some bias in your comments. Didn't plan 2014 better? Funny you say that then mention if sony doesn't have 5 AAA games each year..... From november last year to november this year we will have got knack, KZ, infamous, driveclub, Resogun, MLB:TS and TLoU. That is a really great first year if you ask me. Better yet, 3 of the games in that list are new IPs. I also think its really really really obtuse that a lot of people treat multiplat games as if they aren't also games. Every multiplat is an excluive to the platform you buy it on. If i were getting BF4 on my PS4, it really doesnt matter to me if its also on the XBO or PC. Only one version of that game will exist for me, cause no one is going to buy the game on more than one platform or no one will buy the PS4 and XBO so they can buy two different versions of one game. And don't even get me strated on the amount of great indies so far too (stryder, transistor, child of light). But I am sure by your logic those kinda games don't count. OT: 2015 will be a great year, thinking about all the games that should potentially release that year I can't help but feel that sony will push some back just to decongest the release window. |
Resogun and Knack is 2013. MLB is the Madden of baseball and LOS is a cash in IMO. I'm talking new AAA experiences and that means just Infamous and Drive Club. I thought Sony had an arsenal of developers cranking out games like an assembly line? So what happened this year I wonder? I just think its a bit BS that people shit on MS for lacking exclusives for a year and forgive Sony when they do the same. MS has less studios so they buy 3rd party exclusives......what is Sony's excuse this year???
The second and 3rd paragraph sounds like me defending the 360 in 2011-2013. Multiplats and indies are no excuse for a lack of AAA exclusives.....as many a Sony fan has told me the last few years. Saying indie games don't count was also a popular PS fan argument back in the day....my my do times change.
Just think its wrong that Sony gets a free pass this year, despite their exclusive releases in years prior. People like the OP are allready trying to sweep this year under the rug and go straight to 2015, and forget that 2014 ever happened.
