Didn't Miyamoto already say new Ip was in the works? So then this wouldn't be so surprising.

Oh, we're getting something.  The key word is fun.  I'll be surprised if it's something I really want.  I don't want another Wii Music, Steal Driver or Pushmo.  I want a new Zelda or Kid Icarus... or at the very least something on the level of Wii Sports.  A new IP that I'm excited to try.
