if weapons were banned criminals wouldnt have easy access to weapons. i know that first hand cause ive been involved in mid lvl drug dealing for a long time. in my country geting a hunting license and a rifle can cost you no less than 6000$ without ammo, which is severely limited and controlled. illegally you can get a small caliber revolver for a couple of thousand or a 9mm for even more, but again ammo is severely limited and is very expensive even in the black market. do you know the basics ofoffer and demand? lol. when things are escarce prices go up exponentially thus limiting most people access to such. 

thing is gun ban factually reduces the chances of acess to them for most people due to economics only. thats without counting on other factors.such as the fact that criminals, serious ones only kill other crims for economics also. low level crims dont have access to guns cause they dont have the purchasing power.
