Just got Dark Souls 2, i am not a graphics whore, but...

Then there's a game like the Wonderful 101. Great graphics. High difficulty, but you can overcome with some real strategy and skill. And it got panned.

Dark Souls 2 doesn't look entirely bad. There are a bunch of good looking areas too. Also the difficulty isn't unfair for the most part, and you can overcome it with strategy and skill. I haven't read Wonderful 101 reviews but there's going to be more to it than graphics + difficulty if it got panned.

I'll put it this way: Genuinely unique controls and gameplay few bothered to discover. The game could have done a better job explaining it though.
