Much longer previous gen than anticipated
Much weaker leap in console power than in recent memory
Much more ports of last gen console games and PC titles than ever before
Typical time required for developers to get a hang of next gen/move on from last gen
It all adds up to a generation that thus far has been understandably disappointing for some.
