its not a matter of being hard, its what someones taste is. In a game where you steal cars and drive around over half the time, it should be expected thats what you will face. did you beat the mission? youll learn that you also have an ability level for how well you can drive, franklin is the best at the start, trevor needs the most practice to truely bring up to par. all the cars have different handing, which include suspension and tires. trevor also gets a special ability to slow time for a short bit so you can squeeze in a tiny spot while still keeping your car at 200mph.
The first race is a challenge, but its not that hard compared to other similar experiences. its does what it says it does really well. and thats why its rated so well. It just may not be the experience for you, Im not big into fighting games or sports games, but i can respect them for what they are and what they are able to provide to the gamer.
