Definitely. MS's goal was to disrupt Sony's near-monopoly on the bleeding-edge home console market, and they succeeded wonderfully in that regard. The 360 is in many ways a better media center than the PS3, excepting Blu-Ray, and it's just as graphically capable.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
