You have it backwards. Microsoft uses third parties more than either of the two. Most of their exclusives are coming from third parties. Sony and Nintendo are the self sufficient ones. Microsoft has third parties in their back pocket and if you never paid attention to last gen their first party grew to greater heights and Microsoft cant catch up to them because they suck at developing.
