I don't know much about the Optimus G but G2 was horrible in user interface. It was such a mess its mindblowing. They were criticized a lot about it and hopefully they are working on that. Otherwise it is a great phone though, the battery life is amazi

I've never used a g2 so I can't comment on it's interface but optimus g was pretty good for me at least.The only downside is the lack of actual android updates and the apps working in the background whether you want it or not.Specs wise g2 is a great phone I agree but for me it's pretty imprortant that it didn't come at a 32 gb version where I live.
