1080p seemed like wishful thinking from the start, but both sides are making this a bigger deal than it should be. Overly aggressive Nintendo fans shouldn't have been gloating and touting the 1080p, 60fps stuff, and using this new-found information to rub it in their faces isn't much better. A shame that gaming has turned more into a competition between console fanboys trying to one-up each other than just enjoying games on their own merits. Also, let's face it. The Wii U isn't going to be able to achieve the same level of graphics as the PS4 or Xbone. That doesn't mean you need to constantly defend it. I love my Wii U despite it's shortcomings and don't feel the need to try to jab at the PS4 or Xbone to justify purchase to myself and others.

Then again, resolution and graphics have never been a big deal to me. I still play my PS2 more than any other home console. Jaggies be damned.
