So... Sony lost the generation through bad choices that's okay. But Nintendo didn't win it through good ones? How exactly? Are you implying that Sony's fuck up was the whole reason of the Wii success? I certainly don't agree with that.

No It's more to do with Xbox, the Wii would have sold the same amount but The PS3 would have been more successful against the xbox and maybe put another 30-40 million if it didn't let xbox get ahead. Contrary to what alot of people believe I don't really consider Sony and Nintendo home consoles to really be in battle with one another, they seem to want different markets. Sony and MS though and trying to get the same gamer.

I am pretty sure that if the 360 wouldn't have been created then the PS3 would have done even worse. Imagine the scenario... a $250 console with a new way to play... or a $600 machine that can play "pretty games". I think it was thanks to the 360 that the PS3 didn't sink like the Titanic.

But PS3 and 360 catered to the "hardcore gamer" unless all third party moved to the Wii aswell once they saw the PS3 fail then I couldn't see it doing worse. 360 helped alot with online multiplayer procession, I think if it wasn't for the 360 we wouldn't be so exposed to online multiplayer for consoles as we are now.
