People are not reading this correctly.
The statement indicates that there is a large uptick in general interest based off the preorders, but that actual sales of X1 are INCREASED right now, due to the same heightened interest. This would conflict with VGC numbers for the console.
That said, I agree with others its pretty meaningless without any tangible numbers.
