No. Nintendo wanted to buy Rare, but the Stamper brothers wanted more money than what Nintendo was willing to buy them for. Then Microsoft showed up and offered a bit more.


hmm ok, thanks for clearing that up. maybe nintendo wasnt willing to pay that much because they knew what the talent was worth? because the fact is that the games were not as good once rare switched teams.
