Thats true for the most part...but sometimes i think it's necessary to stick to time lines. ND were not happy when they released U3...but if they didnt release U3 when they did, they would have delayed to the beginning of the following year, which would have a negative impact on sales imo.

Little big planet 2 was delayed to release after the holidays and that had an impact on its sales.

So yeah i think they need to strike a balance between giving the developers freedom and towing the line with meeting certain timeframes.

Don't you think publishers (Sony) are afraid to death after what happened to BF4? Especially with a new IP from an unknown studio (The Order is Ready at Dawn's first big game) a broken game could kill of a franchise in an instant.
