Why?  UC3 was finished in late 2011, assuming they took a short break this game started development at the start of 2012.  

I think Yoshida said that they started it right after Uncharted 3 (Meaning late 2011)

OP: If this is true, I'm not sure what to think of it yet. The person never really specified how dark it would be, so It's probably pretty much anywhere inbetween Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us. I hope It's closer to Uncharted 3.
