This isn't about the broad range of games you liked or even played, many seems to just be listing good games, that's pointless. You've got to think what actually made the generation that it was.
Call of Duty 4 - without it we may never have even had competitive multiplayer in a lot of games.
Gears of War - cover shooting, it was huge last gen
LPB - Creative input from users
Wii Sports - innovative controls
That's it. I've not even played 2 of these but I can see their influence.
