Nintendo will give out 3,000 wristbands for the Super Smash Bros. E3 Tournament

For the second year Nintendo won’t be holding a press conference at E3. Instead it will be holding an invitational 16-man Super Smash Bros. Tournament on June 10th, which is also the first day of E3 at the Nokia Theater in Downtown LA. What is a tournament without fans in attendance? The first 3,000 people who arrive at the Nokia Theater at 9:30AM PST will receive a wristband which will get them entry into the Super Smash Bros. Tournament. It starts at 4PM PST, but fans who can’t attend will be able to watch it live via the Twitch’s E3 channel and Nintendo’s Twitch channel. Also Nintendo announced that anyone attending in cosplay as their favorite Smash Bros. character will receive priority seating for the event and may also appear on the live stream.

9.30am: 3,000 wristbands will be distributed to fans on a first-come, first-served basis at NOKIA Plaza, L.A. LIVE, 777 Chick Hearn Court in Los Angeles. Fans should not queue prior to Tuesday morning, but once a wristband is obtained you can leave the plaza area and return later in the day. The order that wristbands are obtained in the morning does not affect the order later in the day for the event.
2.30pm: Doors Open
4pm: Super Smash Bros. Invitational Begins

Also don’t forget that certain Best Buy stores will have the E3 demo of Super Smash. Bros available to play during E3, so you can have your own little mini tournament among friends.
