Don't forget that sales stats shows that gamers buy systems which have great games and whatever the criteria, those are still games.

In 2014 Wii U has less great +80 games than 3 other systems (PS4, XB1 and PS3), and it shows as those 3 systems currently sell better than Wii U. Yes even the PS3. 4 great games this year on Wii U, for many gamers, is worse than 6 (XB1), 10 (PS3 without DLCs) or 13 (PS4) great games on those other platforms.

3DS only sold so much last year because of the quantity of great games released on the system on 2013.
