You are overestimating it by quite a bit. 200-300k boost seems about right for month after launching. Mario kart will most likely have a small effect on console sales throughout the year, but it isnt going to have such a huge boost that it will sell 1/6th its lifetime sales in one month. That is way too large of a boost.
