Who cares besides some "gamers" who need to reassure themselves that not having a Wii U is the "right thing" to do?

But reality can get funny - those touting and praising their XOne or PS4 for graphics fidelity will wake up soon as both are not capable to handle HD graphics AND next gen AI.

Even more worse - within two years both will lag behind not only compared to entry level PCs but also compared to settop boxes.

We all knew this from the beginning as neither Microsoft nor Sony are subsidizing as on previous generations. Fact is that if you'll get a good deal you can buy a PC with the same performance characteristics as a PS4 for the same money. The only downside is that the PCs box is much bigger and ugly.

Beginning with next year both NVidia and AMD will put GDDR On-Die !! This means 3-4 x Bandwidth increase. A never seen before jump in graphic fidelity. And both will introduce that within the middle-class segment of graphics cards.

So a 399 US$ PC will then "run circles" around a PS4 and XOne. Expect Sony to have big losses as they can't cut costs that fast. Microsoft will give away free (!) licenses for their "Windows for Games" OS and monetarize on the build in App-Store.

Going back to present. I choose the Wii U because of the unique controllers and games which lead to unique experiences. No Xone, PS4 or PC can give me that now or in the coming years.

Thats why Nintendos Wii U will outlast Xone and PS4 by a far margin: the graphics are "good enough". I don't need self proclaimed "realistic" graphics as they don't do anything to gameplay.

Nintendo will come up with new ways of "social" gameplay which will be only possible by using the GamePad.

Big N will finally get it that every game NOT using or at least having an option to use the classic Wii controls didn't sell well... . So expect many future games to rely on WiiMote & Nunchuck again and Millions of Wii users "upgrading" to the Wii U.
