Okami was a success. You do not need millions to be a success.
It got a remake on Wii. Yes remake because Capcom lost the source code and Read at Dawn remade it. PS3 HD port is the Wii version. We got a sequel on DS. An appearance in MvsC3 a collectors edition for DS. Artbooks,plushes,tshirts,Soundtracks you could buy from Capcom store.
That is no failure. It's a success. Just more of a cult fave than a massive series but still did very well.
