If you want a bit of future proof build, I'd go with one of the new Z97 boards that support now-old intel 1150 CPUs (like the 4770K), current ones (like the 4790) and I think they'll also support the next iteration.

As for CPU, if you plan to overclock then an i5-4670K would give you almost the same performance as the 4770K for a lot less money. If you don't... get the non K version. It's more than enough for the next years, and if something happens and it is not, you can get one of the newer CPUs (if you've got one of the new mobos) that will give you more for less than what costs the 4770.
