I think Nintendo is at a point where they don't really have much wiggle room. They could throw more money into Wii U marketing but that's probably the opposite of where they'll go. Right now, I think they're looking at an exit strategy more than a battle plan.

Where Nintendo really should be judged is in how they react to the Wii U in terms of the NEXT generation. They cannot continue down the same course. They have a hell of a lot of work that needs to be done. If they begin the next gen as unprepared as they were this gen, then wholesale changes need to be made in management. Letting the Wii U ride while they address the future might actually be the smartest course.
