Man that's far too long a read for me. :p Can't you summarize it? :p

The Universe runs on a foundation of 'chance' which connects (probably) through some (as yet unclear) link to more conventional 'macro' phyics that most people 'sort of' understand (a bit).

This may (or may not) mean that a complete understanding and determination of all cause and effect is impossible - i.e. if you understood every aspect of physics could you predict exactly what course a raindrop will track down a window?  Could you predict exactly when a star will go Nova?

For myself I like the non-deterministic view since Chaos Theory first broke onto the scene.  Works for me - although I know many find it 'too freak' just as Einstein (rather amazingly) found Quantum theories 'freaky' hence the famous (and miss-quoted) line about 'God doesn't play dice'.  Its a pity - with his mind one wonders what he'd have worked out if he'd embraced Quantum physics and gave it his all?

Now somebody check how the cat's doing...

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
