That's the problem with these DX12 arguments. Unlike the hardware gap (which is static) we get new API fairly regularly. Yes the X1 can close the gap with an improved API, and then the PS4 can widen it with its own improvements. This will just repeat until both have been "maxed out" at which point the gap between the two remains permanently the same.

On a side note i do hope it doesn't take developers long to make full use of the PS4's GPGPU capabilities. It's so damn cool, i want it now :c
