Preorder bonuses: Yay or Nay?

Nay cause what seems to happen very often these days is that either retailers or console companies get exclusive pre-order bonuses that prevent players from having the best experiences. The worst case would be the exclusive DLC ones. For example the ps4 is getting exclusive dlc in Watch_Dogs which is great for Sony fans but terrible for other fans. People should be able to play the same game across all consoles and should not be forced to choose one over the other based some nonsense exclusives. MS has also done this in the past as well!
