I have always been a big fan of JRPGs. I loved Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy. I think particular series are in the decline and sadly by force of the company to expand the franchise to a larger audience. I don't like how Dragon Quest in Japan has turned into a MMORPG. Luckily, neither has Japanese fans so they will likely will make a single player title in the next installment. I also don't like where Final Fantasy has went being very linear with personally a ridiculous story. I love JRPGs for exploration and epic story tellng.
I never was into tales but Bandia Namco swooped in with Tales of Gracies f and Tales of Xillia (still playing). I think Tales of Gracies f has an incredible story with nice twists. I also enjoyed Eternal Sonata. I have Ni No Kuni its gorgeous what I have played, still need to get back to it. I also really enjoyed Lost Odyssey. I am ashamed I never got around to beating that game.
