EA shutting down some online services for old games, C&C generals, Battlfield 1942, 2142 & 2, Crysis 1 & 2, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 and more

This (the PC part at least) is probably due to the Gamespy shutdown, which many of the games on that list used. EA doesn't want to come up with a fix for it so they just shut the games down.

I figured some of those games used Gamespy, but did Bulletstorm use it as well? I also doubt it was feasible for EA to patch the games since their not the latest thing, and I also heard on NeoGAF that it was downright impossible for anyone to keep online running on console games that used Gamespy, so certain PC games may be the same way.
