Nintendo, because the Wii U was built around the Gamepad. Removing it to lower the price of the console won't help the image of the system. In fact, it's more likely that such a move would hurt Nintendo's reputation as a whole. Additionally, sales of the 2DS already show that removing a central piece of the hardware isn't going to change things for the better.

Microsoft, because Kinect is worthless and nobody is going to miss it, and in turn they can drop the price of their console without taking a significant hit in their financials.

It's likely going to increase their financials. I'm betting that without it, Xbox One is actually more profitable hardware.
