Also, I worked at Best Buy at the time, those 60 gigs didn't go anywhere even at that price.  we still had them around until the 40 gigs were released and they dropped to 400.  Then we were finally able to clear them out.  

No because there was still 2 models. The people who wanted to pay 500 before the 60gb came out could have bought the 20gb and the people interested in spending 600 still only got another 20gb on top of the original 60gb. If early adopters got shafted then so did the people who bought the 80gb, 120gb, 160gb, 250gb and 320gb because there is a 500gb out for the same price

hey, look at you proving my point for me.  People paid the same price... but got more later?  hmm, certainly sounds like the eary adopters got screwed.  Plus, you are ignoring what a price cut is.  60 gig model was 600, then became 500.  Does that change in price not matter because they came out with another model a month later?
