Color me quite surprised. I was assuming they would simply create more Kinect software to show it's value. I guess KSR was all they had :/
A 399 price point will most certainly be better for them than a 499 price point. I'm still not sure it's enough to get sales parity with PS4 even in the US or EU outside of the UK. Good news for X1 customers in the near term at least.
I'm also curious as to what this does to the bottom line. Most people thought the parts of kinect were 70-80 dollars. This price cut is more than that. Are they simply re-purposing X1's they have in warehouses(which is still expensive) or is does this mean changes in production(also expensive). I have a feeling they will be losing far more than 20-25 dollars per X1 because of this decision.
