So you're saying that he went "with the crowd" when with his xbox friends, and that he rationalised his perspective after multiple changes of opinion. Nothing surprising so far from him. The part where you get so upset over it is the part I find curious. You were friends with this person prior to them playing any PS games... if that hasn't changed, then I honestly cannot see any reason for you to cut off the friendship.
