720P or 1080i

It also depends on what your tv does, de-interlacing and scaling produces extra lag. Easy to check while holding the WiiU game pad up next to the tv. 720p is probably faster.

Ok. So it turns out my TV is capable of 1080P.

That's what the website for the TV says. Yet, when I go to settings, 1080P isn't an option. If you (someone) could figure out why, that'd be awesome.

Did you make sure to change it manually on the wiiU instead of Auto?
