Nobody in their right mind thinks MK8 won't move hardware.

It will move hardware, but not a ressurgence. Not even close. The console won't see 100K per week, not even on launch week.

So let me get this straight. You actually believe that MK8 wont help move 100K Wii U's for it's launch week? Are you being serious?

You don't have to agree with him, but it's not an outrageous prediction. That would be over a 300% increase from it's current numbers ^^;

OT: No one is saying it won't boost the WiiU's sales, but it's wishful thinking to believe a single game, or even 2, are going to suddenly "save" the WiiU.

Yes, for the Wii U to not reach 100k either during first or second week of launch is outrageous. I think people are underestimating the sales power of Mario Kart. It should propel the Wii U to 100-120k and then help maintain sales of 60-70K until the holidays (which is not much but better than previously)

Im sure it will have above 100k for two(3 at most) weeks, but it cannot keep 60-70k which is double of current sales (may maintain for a month) but not until holidays.

It may be tough but if Nintendo actually advertise the game the way they are claiming they are going to and if here is a few solid releases in between, then it would not be impossible for the Wii U to sell at that level.
