I think it was criminally attacked because it was a new IP By a new studio at the end of a console generation. I would LOVE to see what they could accomplish with a sequel. There is sooooooooo much overwhelming potential in this franchise. It could be game of the year material if they get a chance to improve upon a thoroughly ambitious foundation. The uncharted platforming bits are it's biggest weakness cause they were not inventive at all. I thought everything else was borderline genius. I'm a huge story campaign guy and it definitely told one of the best stories of last gen. This is why it ranks so high. I really enjoyed the gameplay as well. Especially the deeper you got into the game.
