The more I think about it, the more these kinds of doubts enter my mind too. Of course I haven't played the game, but unveiling any game to the public means that gamers will scrutinize the mechanics and attempt to understand the game itself.

Very related to your question; I don't see how AI would be able to function with the (revealed) game mechanics at all. Bots don't have (nearly) the same pattern recognition as human beings do, so any matchup with AI seams implausible. And if this game is multiplayer only, then it's going to be a difficult sell to make.

As long as Joethebro knows we are discussing these things with the aim of helping, not hindering.
