Whoa there, as a motorcyclist on dirt and street since I was seven years old, I find that more than a little fuckin' offensive.

If you had any idea how stupid the average car driver is and how vulnerable you are on a motorcycle, you would be a little more courteous toward our two-wheeled friends and their behaviors. Half the shit you probably put in the "they deserve to die" category are actually defense mechanisms used by motorcyclists to not get fucking killed by some fucking soccer mom talking on a cell phone while doing her makeup (such as lane-splitting or driving slightly faster than the regular flow of traffic).


twesterm probably could have said it a little nicer, but motorcyclists are often problematic. Not only do they often weave through traffic but they making a driving situation very precarious. You can rearend the car in front of you and everyone will usually walk away just fine, but rearend a motorcyclist and the driver may not live to see the next day.

So when you get a person driving a motorcycle carelessly combined with the fact that it would be very easy for them to get severely injured or killed when (not if) they screw up, it's a bad situation.

I don't honestly believe that every motorcyclist in existence is a poor driver, but I have never seen one that doesn't drive carelessly.


 I suppose I could have said it a little nicer but I do mean it when I say just about every person on a motorcycle I see is a moron (and I'm talking about the uber fast ones, not Harley's or those kind, no clue what to call the two).  It's like the case where you hear a bit of a racist joke and laugh a little because you know it's pretty much true.

I know that every person that drives a motorcycle isn't a complete waste of space, but the fact is just about every time I see some idiot on one of those fast motorcycles they are in fact being idiots.  I very rarely see one of those people on those type of motorcycles driving safely, instead they are always doing dumb shit like weaving through traffic, riding people's bumper if they can't get around, doing wheelies through intersections, and driving more than 100MPH.

I do hate to sound like a jerk consistently do dumb shit.

And as for the person that cited that there are less motorcycle caused accidents that's because there are less motorcycles.  It's the same mentality that iPods are the most unreliable MP3 player out there because they are in service so often.  They are in service so often because they are 10 of those for every other single MP3 player (made up the number but it probably isn't far off).  There are less motorcycle caused accidents because there are a crapload more cars out there than motorcycles.
