I like this topic not for what Insomniac has left behind but more because of the idea of business practices between MS and Sony.

MS give you money to do with as you please, develop your game, keep it as your IP but all they ask for in return is the game on their platform only.

Sony come up with their idea, they own it but then hire you to make it.

Both legitimate ways of doing things and both working out very nicely for Insomniac. If EA had funded it instead with their partnership the game might be on a number of consoles alas, Fuse probably put EA off.


Sony have kept them fed during their 10 years of exclusives, MS will probably feed tem some in the gen (maybe for the whole of it depending on the sucess of their new games)... EA got the flop. Well someone have the shortend of the stick.
