Nintendo isn't structured in a way to make money. They know how to sell a console for profit and they know how to make a profit on the games they release, but as far as how to be a competitive, organized, and functioning business they know less than their competition.

a company that's been in the video game business for 20+ years, up against the arcades, atari, sega, and sony doesn't know how to compete, be organized and above all, be a functioning business.....

you mind elaborating on that a little more?

Thought it had all the elaboration it needed.

They know what they're doing when it comes to making games. When it comes to making money, they do not.

That being said, they've made some truly brilliant games, which in turn has made them money....but it's not their business sense that is doing it for them.

For instance. The other day I was playing advance wars on my friends phone, which he downloaded with an emulator. I wanted to get it, so the first thing I did was boot up my 3ds. Huh? Only one advance wars title? And it's the first one? I'm not buying that. Oh well, guess I'll just have to dl it on my phone. This was an actual series of events....and this likely happens every few minutes.

Nintendo doesn't give people what they want. They're kinda like how disney functions with their vault. Cinderella comes out on Bluray then disappears for 10 years. Meanwhile people turn to downloading and buying used. They're just losing potential profits. Now, where disney is concerned, they don't have as big of a problem because of the medium, and the profit margins are a lot better....but nintendo shouldn't...Can't function the same. They want to make money, they need to release more games...especially their back-catalogue.
