Technically speaking... Armored Core games are shooter too... and freedom Wars have basic shooter mechanics too. Japanese just don't like FPS.. Yet. The shooters are their thing.. but is that the jRPG have taken more space in the japanese likes.
like I said before, a mix of Monster Hunter with borderlands.. and Killzone Graphics.. would make wonders on vita, for westerns and eastern markets...
