I'd say theres little to no originality anymore.
Theres the odd new one but most games are roughly based on old game ideas. CoD4 is amazing but is basically the same as CoD2 but improved graphics. Uncharted is Gears of war with more adventure and better graphics but less actiony/shooting. Halo 3 is halo 2 and halo 1. 3d mario games are the same. SSBB is SSBM. Geez, too many sequels in games that are no different.
I think I've pretty much pissed everyone off with this post :P
