I understand, but you are criticizing something without putting both games on an even playing field. I'm explaining the reasons why it has low rez/murky textures. It taxes a system to create and process those high rez textures and somewhere, something has to be sacrificed in order to get them. Like alchemy, there is a rule of equivalent exchange (10 points if you can name the anime, this is a gimme). In a racing sim, the graphics are the experience.

What it comes down to is, if you are disappointed in MK8's graphics then you're missing the point of the game.

If i wanted to do an overall comparison i'd have to include things like DC's huge detailed render distances, it's dynamic lighting cycles, it's animated crowds etc.

That's also all assuming MK8 is in-fact 1080p/60fps and not 720p/60fps (which is easier to run than DC's 1080p/30fps).

I didn't bring those things up because this isn't a direct comparison. DC is here purely as a point of reference as an example of top end AA, AF etc. Multiple people told me MK8's AA, textures etc are high level stuff, DC is here to prove their not. If they had said "MK8's AA and textures are great CONSIDERING x y z", then i'd agree. Without context however, i don't.

Side note: I assume the anime is FMA? :p

I did talk about the dynamic lighting. Draw distance I feel is about the same on both, and crowds, I haven't seen to many crowds in drive club. In fact I haven't seen any. Not that I'm saying they aren't there just I've not seen any.

And yes, it is FMA, lol.
