Simply because of the number of games, as well as the price difference for the digital downloads. And it can still play any retail game you buy in Europe. That's what I've done from the start, and also on PS4. The money I save on digital downloads is huge, I basically get every 4th game for free. |
If I had done it from the start, I would be more on board with this. But I have a year and a half worth of Vita content and 7+ years worth of PS1/PSP content on my EU account now, and couldn't really make the switch.
